PAST EVENTS

You all are invited to attend our San Mateo County "Independence Day Tea Party" to celebrate the birth of our great nation. Make a commitment to stand together, shoulder to shoulder, to protect our country and the Constitution upon which we were founded!

There will be a demonstration 11:00 am until 3:00 pm. Bring signs, flags, costumes, etc., to display your love of our country and voice your OPPOSITION towards Obama's government run healthcare initiatives. Let's send our message to all politicians: ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

After 3:00 pm we all go into the park to begin traditional festivities with a barbecue. There will be speakers, music, balloons and children's games. Bring your picnic lunch or cook your own barbecue. (barbecues will all be set to go for everybody's use with charcoal provided). Bring all your family members and let's all enjoy this historic day together. Bring your pets. They are welcome to join us!

FACEBOOK EVENT: Tax Day Tea Party in San Mateo

Tax Day Tea Party

San Mateo, CA - Concerned taxpayers will gather Wednesday, April 15th from 1pm to 7pm at the corner of So. El Camino Real and 31st Street in front of the Hillsdale Shopping Center to send a message to leaders of both parties that taxpayers are angry with the bailouts, debt, pork projects, and wasteful spending rampant in Washington. Part of the national movement of “tea parties,” Tax Day Tea Party protesters are gathering in the spirit of the Sons of Liberty in Boston, who in 1773 protested the British government by dumping tons of tea into the harbor. In addition to this location, protests are currently planned for at least 15 locations across California, and over 150 cities, spread across all 50 states. Individual organizers have been appearing on talk radio and news broadcasts all around the nation.

Silent Majority NO MORE!
Our Theme: Repeal the Pork, Cut Taxes

Location:
Corner of South El Camino Real and 31st Street
in front of the Hillsdale Shopping Center in San Mateo, CA

Date: April 15, 2009
Time: 1:00-7:00pm

Elsie Gufler, San Mateo County Coordinator commented:

“The behavior of the politicians in Washington has spurred taxpayers around the nation to action. Americans are rightfully angry with the current activity and will not sit silently while being robbed. Local residents are joining their voices with thousands of others across the nation and our voice will be heard. The movement is just beginning.”
